When DDEA negotiates a collective bargaining agreement (our contract) or advocates for its members, it applies to all certified employees. All certified employees reap the benefits of the DDEA members' efforts. However, only members determine the mission, goals, and outcomes of the DDEA. Members are eligible to vote in elections, run for elections, and ratify the collective bargaining agreement.
